Halloween Parade! 🎃
Every Halloween, Conway comes together for a fun and festive kids’ parade! We hope to see you there!
The Parade
The parade is for all ages but tends to attract youngsters. We gather at the Middle School pass-thru at the back of Gatlin Place Subdivision. Local agencies, including Orange County Fire Department, bring service vehicles for the kids to see and explore (touch-a-truck!). Then the fire truck leads the parade.
The crowd (slowly!) walks a 1/4 loop behind the fire truck and trick-or-treats along the way! Neighbors post up at the end of their driveways, to allow easy trick-or-treating as the parade passes by.
Folks start to gather around 5:45pm and the parade kicks off, usually around 6:15 pm. Bring a wagon, to make walking the parade easier for little legs.

?’s
How Neighbors can Help | Neighbors on the parade route can participate by setting up their trick-or-treating at the bottom of their driveways, to allow kids to trick-or-treat from the parade. Neighbors on the parade route can also help by not street parking on the evening of Halloween. Also, consider setting out a trash bin for wrappers. If you don’t live on the parade route, come join the parade and get your steps in!
Where to park | Get dropped off!
Please do not block the route with cars parked on the street. Our neighborhood streets are thin and if folks (neighbors or attendees or anyone) parks on the street of the parade route, the firetruck has to maneuver accordingly.
It is easiest to get dropped off at the neighborhood and get picked back up (and not park in Gatlin Place at all). If you have to park around the Gatlin area, try to park elsewhere and walk over.
No matter where you drive on Halloween night, please be safe and follow traffic laws and try to be kind (i.e., avoid parking behind someone’s driveway and don’t park vehicles on both sides of the GP road, which may prohibit cars from passing between).
